The opportunity
About this role
Our drivers are a vital link between TurfWorld and our customers. This position involves delivering turf and landscaping products to homes, businesses and project sites safely, punctually and professionally.
You will represent the TurfWorld brand at every delivery, taking responsibility for vehicle checks, accurate paperwork, careful product handling and helpful customer communication.
Day to day
Key responsibilities
- Deliver turf and landscaping products safely and on schedule.
- Provide professional, helpful service at the delivery point.
- Load and unload products carefully to prevent damage or injury.
- Follow efficient planned routes and communicate any delays.
- Complete delivery notes, invoices, tablet updates and proof of delivery.
- Keep the vehicle clean, roadworthy and properly equipped.
- Complete daily checks and report maintenance or safety concerns.
What you bring
Experience and requirements
- Valid UK Category C licence; Category CE is preferred.
- Previous professional delivery experience.
- Good local knowledge and route-planning awareness.
- Friendly, clear communication with customers and colleagues.
- Reliability, punctuality and a strong safety focus.
- Physical fitness for handling turf and landscaping materials.
- Flexibility for overtime or occasional weekend work when required.
Useful additional experience
- Moffett experience; training can be provided.
- Experience in landscaping, agriculture, construction or heavy goods.
- Basic vehicle-maintenance knowledge.
