Experienced Farm Mechanic
Maintain and repair tractors, harvesters, sprayers, telehandlers, forklifts, lorries and other agricultural machinery in our workshop and fields.
The opportunity
About this role
TurfWorld is looking for a reliable, experienced farm mechanic to help keep our varied machinery fleet operating safely and efficiently throughout the year.
This hands-on position combines workshop repairs with field call-outs, planned servicing, preventative maintenance and preparation for vehicle inspections. You will have the independence to organise daily priorities while remaining part of a supportive operational team.
Day to day
Key responsibilities
- Diagnose faults and repair machinery in the workshop and in the field.
- Respond quickly and effectively to equipment breakdowns.
- Complete scheduled servicing, preventative maintenance and MOT preparation.
- Maintain accurate records of inspections, repairs and servicing.
- Prioritise daily workloads and source parts cost-effectively.
- Assist with general farm duties during busy seasonal periods.
- Ensure all work meets relevant health and safety requirements.

Our machinery fleet
- Tractors, turf harvesters and sprayers.
- Trailers and other farm implements.
- JCB telehandlers, forklifts and Moffetts.
- Lorries and other agricultural equipment.
What you bring
Experience and requirements
- Proven mechanical experience across a varied machinery fleet.
- Confidence diagnosing faults and solving practical problems.
- Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.
- Positive, proactive approach with good teamwork and communication.
- Full UK driving licence.
Useful additional experience
- Experience with agricultural or heavy plant machinery.
- Welding experience.
- Experience operating farm machinery and forklifts.
